Wham, bam, no thanks

WHEN Vatsyayana compiled his magnum opus on sexual behaviour, little did he imagine that his modern Indian male protagonist would be so lazy in bed. Indian men are said to last the least time in sexual activities. Are Indian men so quick — only off the mark — because they are tensed up by doubts about their inadequacy, or is the act more one of procreation?. Perhaps, behind the psyche of the Indian urban male is a cloying doubt that he will not be able to rise to the occasion and that his staying power will not match that of his brothers elsewhere.

Strangely, despite a lacklustre performance, India has the second largest population in the world. This can only be a tribute to the fertility of those who inhabit this land from which the Kama Sutra originated and to their not practising family planning. Since the urban male is “competitive”, it is also, perhaps, peer pressure which detracts from his giving and taking pleasure coolly. More clinically,a circumcised male would be less sensitive, which may be one way of preventing haste making waste. And finally, shouldn’t the Indian male perform in a more comfortable manner by reversing roles and allowing his partner to run the show?

Focus on English

The debate on the importance of English has again started. The Karnataka government has now introduced English in all schools right from Class I. Students in school need to be taught all possible languages at different stages. This doesn’t mean that we are depriving them of their mother tongue, which, in our case, is Hindi.

We take pride in citing China as an example. However, while China is welcoming English for making the 2008 Olympics a grand success, we are depriving our children of reaping the fruits of English.

Outside India, people don’t understand Hindi; English is the universal language. Our children will lose their competitive edge in the global market if we shut our doors to English. Let’s embrace, and not scrap, English.

Oh yes. Education needs to be upto the times. It gives a person a good perspective on life, and also prepares him/her for adulthood. Without depriving the child of a mother language, the need is to make sure that the child is able to be comfortable with the most common language in world usage, which is English.

Hindus need a Mao, not a Gandhi

"Hindus are Cowards... Muslims are Bullies".. It's not me or Ashok Singhal or even Francois Gautier, the bravest original thinker from Europe who said it first.... this quote is attributed to none other than Mahatma Gandhi.

After Gandhi introduced the concept of self-abnegation in the guise of "tolerance", apparently realizing the above mentioned ultimate truth about Indian culture (Hindus are C and Muslims are B), our mostly HINDU politicians took this step a bit further to introduce a policy of minority "appeasement" through quotas, tax-payers funds for HAJ pilgrimages and other policies that we are painfully pretty much aware of.

We all know the reasons for their behavior - but don't wanna say it out loud.. Muslims are tougher and more organized than Hindus, who are usually divided in castes, regions, languages, etc. And politicians, a.k.a immoral pimps, just want to exacerbate such differences between us so that they can stay in power and earn money for dozens of generations of their children.

And so, the once glorious people, whose history talks about "sages who could travel in time", "warriors who could kill millions of people by reciting a mantra on the twig of a grass blade", can do nothing but now bitch about how Assam went on to have 30% Bangladeshi Muslim population or whine about how their holiest temples have been demolished and replaced by mosques and how they cannot even fight the extermination of their own Hindu brethren, in some parts of the country, from the face of the planet.

Hindus definitely started acting more like stupid pagans, that they have been branded as by Muslim invaders.. aka Kafirs... they act more like animals, rather the cows they stupidly still worship in villages.. time and again, they prove that they don't have the intellectual vibrancy or any trace of it left over from the Vedic civilization with their self-deprecating behavior and lack of a "community spirit". In fact, its hard to believe that they were once home to all that advanced knowledge and culture. At the same time, they do not even adapt to changing times like Singapore, Hong Kong and other countries have (which is a positive aspect).

What Hindus need is a MAO... one who can organize a revolution against Indian government and its policies in general and have the unflinching support of military to rule it in the best interests of the nation.Someone who can think clearly and act decisively without resorting to emotional foolishness in a cool, calculated way.

Someone who would've ordered Masood Azhar to be beheaded in public and not exchanging him for the lives of IC814 passengers.

Someone who wouldn't flinch on nuking Pakistan and raping the shit out of Bangladesh if they do not behave.

Someone who would've ensured that Nepal always remains a HINDU country.

Someone who can value merit and restore some sense of ethnic pride among a people who is SORELY lacking one.

MAO wasn't actually a communist, he was a HAN racialist just like Hitler was for Germans. Communism was just a guise to keep all his flock together. His supreme interest was in the benefit of the HAN race. And he merely followed Sun Tzu's famous doctrine of how to win wars from the "Art of War". He only fought those battles which he knew he could win and he made sure he wont them emphatically. He was brutal and cold-hearted, but an amazing, shrewd military general and not a pussy like our Vajpayee or Manmohan.

Now the Chinese have built railroads into Tibet, while we hold negotiations with Bangladesh on how castrating, amputating and killing Indian soldiers "hurt our feelings"... Our politicians have definitely made us the ultimate pussies in the world.

While Chinese hold American bonds in their kitty and have already treated as the "most favored nation" by US, India has to take the permission of tiny Sri Lanka to patrol waters of Indian ocean !

Chinese are even beginning to control the non-mid-eastern oil resources by investing billions and billions of dollars in Central Asia, Latin America and Africa defeating almost all Indian tenders, India cannot even take proactive steps to restore her own energy needs !

Chinese have launched manned shuttles into space, while India cannot even manufacture an SLBM and its IRBMs are already quite inferior, something that even Iran has managed !

If MAO was in charge of India during the partition era, the following things would've happened -

1. India would've been ethnically cleansed of Muslims. Mao murdered just about 80 million people who didn't fit in his vision of a reformed, modern China... but it eventually led to HAN being the strongest ethnic group in the world.

2. There would've been no Pakistan or Bangladesh. All Muslims would've been thoroughly Indianized.

3. Indians would've had a concept of ETHNIC pride, which we now lack as is clear in the way many of our kind shamelessly worship WHITE skinned people.

4. Indian subcontinent would be united and there would be the largest country in the world with 1.4 billion people and it would've been listened to very carefully in world matters, not ignored as it is now. India would've been an economic and military super power.

5. No more self-deception that lighter skinned olive complexioned north Indians are actually WHITE and of ARYAN ancestry while the rest of the country is of inferior DRAVIDIAN ancestry. That is the myth of ARYAN invasion wouldn't have been possible if we had a different sense of ethnic pride - about being Indian - and not northie or southie.

For the bad things -

1. There would be less freedom to act as you want - that implies, not just not being able to pee on temple walls, spit on every visible spot of a sidewalk and animals roaming busy city centres, but also less journalistic freedom.

2. More executions.. probably India would've a 10-15,000 people executed by state per year to keep up order among 1.4 billion people.

3. Spread of Christianity would've been checked, like in China, but not sure if it's entirely a bad thing.

Deceitful claim

Every one hasn't said yes to OBC quota

THE disingenuousness of Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh and his factotums, it would seem from their latest disinformation campaign, is limitless. On Thursday ministry officials told media persons that private aided deemed universities have voluntarily agreed to implement Singh’s plan to set aside 27% seats OBC candidates.Sections of the media dutifully put out what is now established as nothing but wilful disinformation to shore up the minister’s faltering case.

To begin with, representatives of only a few deemed universities were called for a meeting where they are believed to have accepted Singh’s proposal, of course, with certain conditions. By no means can these deemed universities be taken as a representative body of the 60 such private, unaided institutions across the country.

The exercise is reprehensible as the Centre is yet to legislate on this matter. In recent weeks, the Supreme Court has made certain observations about caste quotas that have caused discomfort to the government.

Was Thursday’s meeting a move to influence the Supreme court? In any event, the claimed “agreement” does not tell the full story, either. For instance, the representatives of the deemed universities who we present at the meeting have made it clear that they will require both time and resources to implement the OBC quota. In a sense, the obnoxious attempt to coerce private deemed universities and institutions of higher education to fall into line with the minister’s thinking reflects poorly on the prime minister’s ability to keep his colleagues, especially those from the Congress, on a tight leash. The prime minister would do his party and the nation a great favour if he were to summon the courage to tell Arjun Singh to lay off from causing further damage to education and educational institutions.

BITS Pilani and Tagore Gitanjali
The country "where the mind is without fear" is the only country in which true scholarship can engage with the great issues of society. Are we losing that country?
Its time for every Indian to read Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's Nobel prize winning poem and appreciate the stand taken by Ekla Chalo Re BITS Pilani, in the context of reservation fire raging the length and breadth of the nation.

'Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high"

While various deemed universities said that they would wait, watch and ultimately toe the government line, BITS Pilani's bold stand that it would not implement quotas and reservations in admissions shook the conscience of the nation. For BITS Pilani, courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Its for nothing Andrew Jackson said "One man with courage makes a majority".

"Where knowledge is free"

BITS Pilani is a privately funded institution playing an eminent role in the nation building task at par with the IITs and the government of India as well as all its agencies must ensure that autonomy for admissions, fees charged, curriculum design, faculty recruitment etc are not encroached and eroded.

"Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls"

BITS Pilani has ensured the creation of a classless, casteless society and thousands of BITS alumni take pride in identifying themselves as Indians and not belonging to any caste, religion or language.

"Where the words come out from the depth of truth"

BITS Pilani had no hesitation in stating that students who take admissions through a criterion other than merit would find it difficult to pursue higher education and as such would be a drain on the system.

"Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection"

BITS Pilani believes that any departure from merit will only end up deemed or otherwise universities becoming doomed universities.

"Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit"

To ensure homogeneous input in higher education, BITS Pilani has emphatically stated that merit and nothing but merit should be the only criterion for admission.

'Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action"

BITS Pilani has said what millions of Indians wanted to say by saying that the Government and Society at large must focus on Primary education and schooling system by giving special attention, care, concern, scholarship and coaching so that candidates of weaker sections can compete with other students and become worthy citizens of the nation.

"Into that heaven of freedom my Father, let my country awake"

Will our country awake, will our country awake, will our country awake ............

Everyone may be singing the song below thinking that Future is indeed shocking

Wisdomless Politicians
Meritless Admissions

Meaningless Curriculums
Substance less Examinations

Faculty less Departments
Student less Colleges

Principal less colleges
VC less Universities

Knowledgeless Society
Developmentless Nation

Into that hell of gloomdom
My Father, let my country go to Sleep
let my country go to Sleep.....

but BITS Pilani believes just not in forseeing future but in enabling it. Future indeed belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and BITS Pilani converts each of its dream to a goal by adding a deadline.

While a group of deemed universities including some prestigious ones on Thursday Oct 26, 2006 backed HRD Minister Arjun Singh's move for reservation in unaided institutes, BITS, Pilani, strongly opposed it. BITS, Pilani was invited but could not attend the meeting. In fact the institute has already submitted a note to the ministry expressing its views on reservation of seats in admissions for the weaker sections.

For BITS, Pilani merit which is so vital to ensure homogenous input into the higher education system must be the only criteria for admissions and that can not be compromised.

BITS Pilani has always been a Leader who Knows the Way, Goes the Way, and Shows the Way.

Who let the cat out?

Film : Garfield 2
Cast : Bill Murray, Breckin Meyer, Jennifer Love Hewitt
Director : Tim Hill

A WISE guy of a friend once told me, “How would you feel if I told you I dont like Calvin and Hobbes?” I almost choked. As words failed me, staring incredulously was all I could do. The wise guy goes on: “Thats how I feel when you keep telling me you don’t like Garfield.” Oops, the secret is out! Non-Garfield worshipper in the house. But seriously, how can you compare Garfield with Calvin and Hobbes ? Before this comic argument assumes Asterix vs Tintin proportions (we all know Asterix is far better), let us turn to Garfield 2 , the movie.

When they decided to make another of those comic strips into a live action movie two years ago, fans would have groaned. How could they get a cat actor that looks anything like the greediest cat in the world? The makers went in for CGI, and bad CGI at that, too. But largely due to the vocal talents of Bill Murray in the title role, the movie made enough money to warrant a sequel. Groan! The incredibly dumb Jon (played with utmost boredom by Breckin Meyer) decides to follow his girlfriend Liz (the cute Hewitt trying to look too cute and ending up as not) to London. Garfield, and that insult to caninedom, Odie, hide in the baggage. In the Queens land, Prince (Tim Curry), the pet of a late insanely rich lady, inherits her entire estate. The evil nephew Lord Dargis (Billy Connolly doing a terrible version of John Cleese) wants Prince to meet the God of Cats as soon as possible so he can get the moolah. Garfield and Prince accidentally switch places. And the movie drags along as only one with two terribly fat cats can.

Bill Murray tries his best to keep this madhouse afloat, but even he sounds bored. It doesn’t help when his co-actors together cook up the blandest possible dish. None of comic creator Jim Davis’ acerbic wit (you have to give credit where its due) is on display.
